Sitting at my kitchen table, thinking about my mom...she fell out of bed this morning as she was sound asleep, and thinks she may have a cracked rib. She has physical therapy this morning, so I told her to have the therapist check her out and tell her whether she should go to the er or to her doctor.

Summer 2009
Here I am again, over a year later, and much has changed in my life. I took one more Ed Tech class in the Fall of 08, then decided not to take one in the spring. I have since applied to the Ed Leadership cohort for the EdD at Baker University, and am waiting to hear from them. I think it will be a better fit for my hectic life - I know when, where, how, etc., for the next three years. Then it will be over. First class starts in August...

So...what have I learned about video podcasting?
I just finished posting my very amateurish video podcast to my CT870 web site. I have put in many, many hours on this project, but am not too happy with the outcome. I have realized that to have an awesome video podcast, I need to create all of the photos myself, to begin with, in order to have the tight shots one needs when posting shots of people. The photos that are zoomed in on the subjects are the most interesting. I only panned in and out on the photos; going side to side would have made for more variety, but I didn't see that I had that option in iMovie. The next time I would definitely hire someone else to do the voiceover, as some people have a "made for TV" voice and some people don't. I am one of those that don't! There's a lot I need to learn about the audio, how to finesse it...at any rate, this is my first attempt, and I have acquired a great deal of knowledge, enough to lure some students into this world of podcasting, so they can take it and run with an idea. Isn't that the point?

Wiki Political Wars - Post #9
On CNN on Sunday, April 13, an article showing the battle of supporters on candidates' wiki pages was presented - supporters are editing information to support their view of events. This has made for extra vigilance and correction on the part of Wiki supervisors to keep the content as objective as possible. Checking this out on Google led me to reports of a series of Wiki Wars. Check it out!
